Duties
Donovan has a 6th-12th grade Jr. Sr. High School Principal opening, beginning in July 2026. The desired qualities are high energy, a growth mindset, and student-centered leadership. Responsibilities include but not limited to professional development, staff evaluations, school improvement planning, supervision of sporting events, and discipline. Ideal candidates should be able to help promote the district’s vision while serving as an innovative team leader. Donovan Jr. Sr. High School serves approximately 140 students in grades 6-12 and has 21 staff members.
Qualifications
Candidate must possess the appropriate Illinois license, with administrative endorsement, to serve as the principal. Candidate must have completed or be able to complete the mandatory teacher evaluation training prior to the start of the 26-27 school year.
Salary/Benefits
Regionally competitive based on qualifications and experience. The salary range is $87,000- $100,000 based on experience.
