Duties

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Model teacher's instructional methods as directed when working with individual and groups of students based on online learning best practices  Provide tutorial help for students

  • Observe teacher's interaction with children who have special learning needs, and engage in similar instructional practices
  • Observe student academic and social-emotional behaviors, monitor changes, and report these observations to the certified teacher and/or site coordinator Assist with maintaining classroom order by following the established classroom procedu res and behavior management plan Communicates student progress to the teacher
  • Provides support for student instruction in Reading and Math
  • Support students in their assigned small learning groups
  • Organizes materials for student participants in the program
  • Provides online learning supervision and reporting
  • Assists with monitoring students
  • Assists with materials organization
  • Attendance on field trips

KNOWLEDGE AND CRITICAL SKILLS:

  • Proficient with relationships with adults and students
  • Some knowledge of the Peoria community and region (preferred)
  • Organizational skills
  • Technical skills (Word, Excel and One Drive) (preferred) EXPERIENCE:
  • Non -Certified teacher's aide certificate or HS diploma.
