Duties

  •  Complete/interpret student assessments as requested and write BIPs, CIPs and probe BIPs with team input
  • Continue to develop creative strategies, solutions and ideas that will engage the students and facilitate learning in collaboration with student’s teaching team
  • Coach, co-treat and overlap with teachers and program managers regularly and PMAs as needed
  • Interpret behavior and program data and make recommendations
  • Monitor student progress on reduction or increase of behaviors
  • Responsible for all behavior-related paperwork: graphs, quarterly summaries, annual reports
  • Meets regularly with Executive Director and Director of Special Education
  • Perform necessary assessments and write reports. Maintains effective and efficient record keeping procedures
  • Perform FAs as needed
  • Maintain ISBE Outcomes with Director of Special Education
  • Works with Executive Director and Director of Special Education to develop programming
  • Debrief PCM, accidents and other instances
  • Fully participate in all phases of the IEP process
  • Staff development as assigned
  • Staff training
  • Write toilet training protocols with teachers
  • Participate in all PCM debriefings on caseload
  • Support PCM
  • Monitor implementation of BIP/CIP
  • Work with students on caseload frequently
  • Collaborate with teachers and administration on outside visitors (home BCBAs, psychologists, etc)
  • Collaborate with home BCBAs and report to team
  • IEP obligations (probe BIP, BIP, annual graphs, implementations)
  • Related paperwork
  • Participate in feedback of teacher, program manager, BST reviews
  • Participate in task forces as appropriate
  • Assign classrooms needed data support
  • Provide only necessary, critical, quiet coaching in the moment situations, follow up and training after
  • Overlap 1:1s by teacher request
  • Evaluate staff and review Collaborate and provide leadership for the students’ team
  • Participate in field trips as needed
  • Participate in parent teleconferences, home visits, parent/teacher conferences as needed
  • Maintain student, parent and staff confidentiality
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • BCBA Certification or Board-Eligible
  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or related field required
  • Minimum of 2 years working with verbal and nonverbal students with autism

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently
  • Desire to work with children on the autism ABA experience necessary
  • Detail Demonstrated ability to quickly problem solve and multi-task
  • Demonstrated ability to relate effectively and professionally with children, supervisor, co- workers and staff
  • Maintain CPR/First Aid Certified and maintain certifications
  • Ability to successfully complete, pass and maintain PCM training and certification
