Duties
The paraprofessional supports the elementary classroom teacher, including physical education class(es), by providing educational assistance and other assigned duties to maintain a positive learning environment that serves the diverse needs of students. The paraprofessional communicates with the classroom teacher, as well as, collaborating with the rest of the educational team at Summit. The paraprofessional will demonstrate a friendly attitude and positive behavior; maintain consistent attendance and punctuality; maintain respect and dignity for students, parents, and staff; maintain confidentiality in all areas; exercise flexibility, patience, and self-discipline in dealing with students, parents, and staff; be cognizant of safety at all times and demonstrate a working knowledge of emergency procedures.
Daily Schedule: In the assigned room at 7:30 am through 1:30 pm
Qualifications
Must have valid paraprofessional licensure in state of Illinois.
