Duties
Community Unit School District 308 is seeking an outstanding educational leader to serve as the Director of Special Education - Secondary, beginning July 1, 2024. This is a full-time, 12-month position.

Qualifications
Qualified applicants are required to have Professional Educator License with Director of Special Education Endorsement, and at-least one of the following endorsements: Learning Behavior Specialist I and/or II, Deaf/Hard of Hearing and/or Visually Impaired, Speech and Language Pathologist, School Social Worker, or School Psychologist. Minimum of five years of successful leadership experience as an administrator in special education, experience in leading large unit districts preferred. Knowledge of current teaching and learning methods for students with disabilities.
Salary/Benefits
Starting Salary: $115K Annually with TRS Creditable Earnings, 100% district-paid TRS & THIS contributions. A comprehensive benefits package including 80% district-paid medical (including 100% reimbursement for non-emergency care at Rush affiliated providers on our PPO & HCA plans) and dental insurance.
