Duties
Performs individual and group counseling for PreK through First Grade. Assists families with designing their individual family service plan and refers them to appropriate services and agencies. Consults with teachers as appropriate to assist them in addressing the three domains affecting students’ competencies, learning, and development. Facilitates classroom intervention instruction. Using a public health framework, facilitate a comprehensive, continuum of support that promotes healthy positive youth development and methods of prevention. Also manages the distribution of standardized assessments (ISA, IAR etc.).
Candidate must also have knowledge of: Special Education programming, laws, procedures, and paperwork; effective written, verbal and technology based communication skills; understanding of child growth and development; and working knowledge of social emotional learning standards
Qualifications
Illinois Professional Educator License with School Counselor Endorsement or School Social Worker Endorsement
Salary/Benefits
As per negotiated contract with CAMEO
