Duties
Nestled in the heart of the Midwest (Champaign-Urbana) Next Generation School is an independent private school that looks towards the future of education while valuing the connections of the present. We are currently looking for an educator with primary school experience to join our excellent Primary School team for next school year (2025-2026) and beyond. Candidates can look forward to the flexible curriculum which allows an educator to explore new means of teaching and learning in real time.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and co-teach primary school curriculum (ELA, Math, Social Studies)
- Develop innovative and creative lesson plans that engage students to achieve success
- Supervise recess and breaks for primary school students
- Assist with the coordination of and participate in school activities and events
- Coordinate with the primary school teaching team and administration on student needs, wellness, curriculum, etc.
Qualifications
Job Skills & Qualifications:
- Teaching Certificate, B.A. in Education, or equivalent (out-of-state or -country applicants accepted)
- Experience working with Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, and other computer applications
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Proficient technology skills [student Chromebook ratio is 1:1]
Salary/Benefits
Starting Salary: 45,000-60,000, dependent upon experience
