Duties
The Peoria Regional Learning Center (PRLC) is seeking a Paraprofessional for our alternative high school. The foundation of our school is a trauma informed culture and climate, creating a safe environment for students to be successful. We will be building the program from the ground up, implementing a new computer-based curriculum with enrichment activities for academic, social-emotional learning, and workforce readiness skills. This is an opportunity to be part of creating a new program and environment for students. Paraprofessionals will work with the teacher and have direct contact with students to enhance their learning and provide support for student growth academically and socially to get them ready for their post-secondary lives.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess an Illinois Paraprofessional License or a Short-Term Approval. Licensure must be current, valid, and registered in Peoria County.
Salary/Benefits
Salary Range: $30,000-$35,000. Benefits: IMRF position, up to $12,000/year towards insurance premium, 180-day contract.
