Duties

Atwood-Hammond Grade School is currently accepting applications for an opening for a Social Worker/School Counselor for the 2025-2026 school year.

Description and Qualifications: The school counselor/social worker will provide comprehensive school social work services to students addressing social/emotional issues that are a barrier to their success. He or she will understand and implement counseling theories and techniques in order to provide services for students who may be in crisis or who face ongoing challenges on a day-to-day basis. This position will also respond and support students in a crisis situation by utilizing outside resources, conduct evaluations and provide services for students with individualized education plans. Collaborating with staff in order to enhance the students educational experience and advocate for students' services is also a part of this role. 

Qualifications

Candidate will hold a Masters in Social Work with a concentration in school social work and a professional educator license.

Salary/Benefits

Based upon education & experience per negotiated contract agreement. Salary schedule and benefits can be found in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between Arthur CUSD 305 and the Arthur Education Association.
