Duties
Damiansville Elementary School is looking for a student-centered elementary self-contained teacher. The ideal candidate would meet each student's instructional needs through guided practices. The successful candidate would have the opportunity to work in an environment with a small class size and a goal of advancing the learning for each student.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to fostering academic excellence, student growth, and a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking. This educator will play an essential role in creating a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment while collaborating with colleagues to support the academic and social-emotional development of all students.

- Maximize time on task by ensuring that all classroom lessons and activities are directly tied to standards
- Participate in collaborative curriculum development, frequent professional development, and feedback/coaching meetings
- Design and implement targeted daily whole group and small group lesson plans, as well as assessments that measure progress towards academic standards
- Use assessment data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices
- Develop a classroom environment that promotes a passion for learning
Qualifications
Current Illinois Professional Educator License With Proper Endorsement, either K-9 or Early Childhood License.
