Duties
-Plan and preparation for 2 sections of 7th grade science and 4 sections of 8th grade science
-Align coursework to the Common Core Standards
-Instruct students for the purpose of improving their success in these content areas
-Create a classroom environment that develops student skills in the areas of listening, speaking, reading, and writing
-Evaluate student progress and communicate this progress with parents
-Administer and develop assessments for the purpose of assessing student competency levels
-Establish and maintain standards of student behavior
-Supervision responsibilities as assigned
-Participate in faculty committees and sponsorship of student activities
-Analyze data to determine curriculum decisions and path
Qualifications
-Professional license with an endorsement in general science
-Make sure you have taken the mandated JH course to teach in self contained content area
-Experience preferred but not required
