Duties
This position will be responsible for providing interventions in both reading and math as well as overseeing student RtI plans and setting up and planning benchmark testing in FastBridge and MAP. The preferred candidate will have a strong background in reading instruction as well as a strong background in data management. Next year the district will be adding an intervention block for grades K-5, so the interventionist would need to be able to organize groups using data from benchmark assessments as well as classroom data.
Salary/Benefits
Next year's base salary is $44,028 and increase based on years of experience and education levels. The top end of the scale is $73,482. The Board of Education pays $825 toward health insurance as well as offers tuition reimbursement for coursework toward an approved program of study. Saunemin Community Consolidated School District 438 is a one-building district serving approximately 105 students in a rural setting. Saunemin is located about 15 miles east of Pontiac and about 15 miles south of Dwight. Both nearby communities offer convenient access to Interstate 55 as well as shopping and dining opportunities. Our district offers an on-campus Community Fitness Center that teachers access for free as well as many opportunities for coaching positions.
