Special Education Teacher (Grades K–4)
Sheridan Grade School is seeking an energetic, flexible, and student-centered Special Education Teacher to serve students in grades K–4. The successful candidate will provide specialized instruction to students with disabilities, develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), monitor student progress, conduct IEP meetings, and collaborate with general education staff, parents, and related service providers to support student success.
The ideal candidate is a strong team player who demonstrates excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide direct instruction to students with disabilities.
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs.
- Conduct IEP meetings and maintain required documentation.
- Communicate regularly with families and staff regarding student progress.
- Collaborate as an active member of the school's problem-solving team.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the administration.
