Duties
Relative to teacher responsibilities in district job description including, but not limited to the following:
- Plan a program of study which meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students;
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning;
- Guide the learning process toward the achievement of clear objectives;
- Employ instructional methods/materials that are appropriate for meeting the objectives;
- Assess students on a regular basis;
- Counsel with colleagues, students, and/or parents regularly;
- Provide special education services in a self-contained classroom and resource classroom role.
Qualifications
Professional Educator License with endorsement in Special Education, Bachelor of Science degree
Salary/Benefits
$135/day as a long-term substitute teacher
Additional Notes
One long-term position is for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year to be filled immediately, serving an elementary self-contained classroom. The other long-term position is for a middle school resource teacher leave of absence beginning in February 2026.
