High School Science Teacher

Duties

Morris Community High School District 101 is accepting applications for a Science Teacher for the 2027-2028 school year.  The opportunity exists for this teacher to start on January 6, 2027, which would be a great opportunity for a December graduate.  If the teacher were to start in January 2027, the assignment for second semester would consist of Biology.  If the teacher were to start in August 2027, the assignment will depend on registration but will likely continue to focus on Biology.

Qualifications

Must have a registered Professional Educator License and all appropriate Illinois endorsements to teach science for Grades 9-12.

Salary/Benefits

Salary and benefits per the collective bargaining agreement located here.  TRS is 100% Board-paid, and teachers receive $14,100 toward health insurance.

Additional Notes

Morris Community High School is currently undergoing a major construction project, including the addition and renovation of most classrooms, offices, cafeteria, media center, and other spaces.  New science labs are included in this project and are slated to be ready in September 2027.  In addition, MCHS has recently completed several capital improvement projects including stadium, gym, and fieldhouse upgrades.
