Duties
Morris Community High School anticipates an opening for a full-time Mathematics Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Opportunities for coaching or advising extra-curricular activities may exist. The teaching assignment will include five sections of mathematics courses, one study hall supervision, and one planning period. The exact teaching schedule has flexibility depending on the selected candidate. MCHS operates on a seven-period day with 50-minute classes.
Qualifications
A Professional Educator License with endorsement for Mathematics in Grades 9-12 is required.
Salary/Benefits
The current collective bargaining agreement is available here. In addition to Board-paid TRS benefits, teachers also receive $14,100 toward the health insurance plan of their choice, with any remaining balance paid as salary.
Additional Notes
Morris Community High School is currently undergoing a major construction project, including the addition and renovation of most classrooms, offices, cafeteria, media center, and other spaces. This project will greatly modernize the teaching and learning environment and is expected to be completed in 2029.
