Duties
Seeking a professional nurse who enjoys working in a school setting caring for students and staff. In the school setting, the nurse will need to be flexible in caring for the needs of students district-wide at various grade levels from year to year.
West Carroll is a PreK-12 consolidated school district in Northwest Illinois with three school buildings (approximately 8750 students).
Qualifications
Master’s in School Nursing Professional Educator Licensure OR Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with IEP certification (successful completion of ICTS 236: School Nurse exam prior to hiring), current and valid registered nurse licensure in Illinois. Vision and Hearing certified (required) and CPR/First Aid instructor certification is preferred but not required.
Salary/Benefits
Work day: West Carroll student attendance days (176 calendar days) plus 5 days before student attendance begins and 5 days after student attendance ends, 8 work hours per day plus 30 minute duty-free lunch.
Salary and Benefits per the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the 2026-2027 school year
