Duties
• Administer or assist in administering required language proficiency of all students entering the districts whose primary language is other than English, along with ongoing monitoring of student progress. • Identifies limited English proficient students according to required language proficiency assessments. • Maintain accurate records of referrals, assessments, refusals and recent exits. • Maintains ongoing communication with principals and classroom teachers regarding students in need of assistance. • Assist in developing response to intervention plans with the student support team for all ELL students and work with classroom teachers to implement plans. • Serves as resource teacher and/or instructional model to other teachers by assisting them with the selection of materials and teaching techniques appropriate to the individual student’s functioning level. Recommends or provides appropriate training. • Provide ELL push in and/or pull out instruction to students in grades Kindergarten-8th grade as approved by contracted Districts within the Winnebago County Special Education Cooperative • Employ a variety of instructional techniques and teaching strategies to meet different aptitudes and interests of students, including whole group (co-teaching)/ small-group or individual learning. • Establishes and maintains high standards of pupil behavior which promote maximum student growth and achievement. • Interpret and translate as needed. • Establish and maintain communication with parents of students in the program. • Participate in in-service and staff development activities and staff meetings as required or assigned. • Attend IEP, Section 504, or other related meetings necessary for student assessment and/or compliance with federal and/or state law as assigned by the contracting District. • Attend and participate in established traditional school-sponsored activities (i.e, back-to school night, open house, and other activities customarily attended by classroom teachers and/or faculty members), which may be outside of regular school hours as requested by the contracting Districts. • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Professional Educator’s License Grades K-8 with English Language Learning Endorsement

Teacher will work in 3 member district buildings.
