Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Embrace and help grow the mission of Pleasant Valley which is to “engage, inspire, and empower each student towards academic excellence and citizenship”.
- Instruct students in basic subjects in order to prepare them for future schooling.
- Create, administer and grade lesson plans that meet the needs of all students.
- Prepare students for standardized testing.
- Observe, assess and evaluate student performance. Identify when intervention may be needed.
- Develop and enforce classroom rules.
- Contact parents to acquire & provide information on academic student progress when necessary.
- Supervise students during recess, lunch and extracurricular activities as needed.
- Establish an appropriate, positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.
- Supervise and monitor the halls during arrival, bathroom breaks, in between classes and at dismissal.
- Other duties as assigned by administration
