Duties
Morris Community High School has an immediate opening for a Spanish teacher to begin on August 13, 2026. The position would consist of some combination of Spanish 1 and 2, and it could be modified to be either full-time or part-time.
Qualifications
Candidates should have an Illinois Professional Educator License with an endorsement to teach Spanish. However, due to the urgency to fill this position, a candidate with a PEL who is endorsed in another subject area may also be considered to serve in a long-term sub capacity.
Salary/Benefits
Salary and benefits are outlined in the collective bargaining agreement which can be found here. Benefits include Board-paid TRS contributions and $14,100 toward health insurance with any remaining balance paid as salary.
Additional Notes
Morris Community High School is currently undergoing a major construction project, include the addition and renovation of most classrooms, offices, cafeteria, media center, and other spaces. This project will greatly modernize the teaching and learning environment and is expected to be completed in 2029.
