Duties
Serve as the Behavior Intervention Specialist serving Prek through 12 students. Plans, implements, and assesses academic, behavior, and attendance intervention services. Helps monitor lunches, supervises student activities, develops and implements strategies to improve grades, attendance, and behaviors, reduces suspensions, and improves graduation rates for at-risk students. Responsibilities include:
-Supporting students with behavioral, academic, and attendance interventions and strategies.
-Collaborating with adminstrators, teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement effective PBIS, social-emotional, behavior, academic, IEP, and attendance plans.
-Collecting data and monitoring student progress.
-Collaborating with building testing coordinators to coordinate district testing.
-Assisting with creating a positive and supportive school culture and climate.
-Contacting parents.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
-A bachelor’s degree is required (in education, psychology, social work, or a related field).
-Administrative degree preferred.
-Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
-Experience working with students with IEP, behavioral, academic, attendance, or social-emotional needs is a plus.
