Duties

The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician's orders.

Qualifications

• Active  Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract. 
• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice 
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
• Must be at least 18 years of age  

Salary/Benefits

Pay Rates: Wages are based on an hourly rate as a W-2 employee.

• Offering up to $80/hour. based on experience and credentials.
• Stipends for professional development and continuing education credits

Additional Notes

Multiple vacancies within K–5 grade levels and various classroom environments. Caseloads include supporting Spanish-speaking students and utilizing AAC devices. A bilingual English/Spanish candidate is preferred but not required. Experience and individual preference will be considered when assigning caseloads. Positions serve the Calumet City, IL area.
