Duties
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Conducts developmental screening to children (0-3 years old).
2. Maintains documentation for educational purposes.
3. Completes lesson plans, Home Visits, and home visits records.
4. Facilitates play groups and parenting workshops for families with young children.
5. Regularly prepares and distributes a newsletter to the community.
6. Maintains the family resource library.
7. Collaborates with other community agencies that provide assistance to families.
8. Serves as a parent resource through telephone, community resources and referrals.
9. Provides services outside school hours as needed, including evening programs, home visits, and extended school year programs.
10. Guards the confidentiality of all information placed in charge of this program. Breach of this trust shall be grounds for dismissal.
11. Performs such other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Early Childhood Programs.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
An Associate Degree in Early Childhood related field; Bachelors Degree preferred.
Salary/Benefits
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
180 days, with the ability to work outside of regular hours.
Salary and other benefits in accordance with the classifiedstaff collective bargaining union agreement.
