Position Summary: Quest Academy is seeking a compassionate, dedicated
school social worker to assist in addressing the developmental and social
well-being of our students.


At Quest, our educators are dedicated to placing students at the center of their own learning by
fostering engaging, hands-on, and interdisciplinary educational experiences. They possess a
deep understanding of child development, particularly in relation to gifted learners. The ideal
social worker will actively support this mission by collaborating with teachers and the Director of
Learning Support Services to develop student-centered strategies that promote academic and
personal success. This role involves providing targeted support to both students and educators,
helping to create an inclusive environment where all learners can thrive. We are seeking a
candidate who is passionate about service, demonstrates excellent communication skills, and is
committed to continuous professional growth in the field of education.


Key Responsibilities:
* Providing individual and group counseling to students facing personal, emotional, or
psychological challenges that affect academic performance or behavior.
* Communicating with students to determine the areas in which they may need assistance
or counseling.
* Collaborating with teachers and working in partnership with the Director of Learning
Support Services to support students’ social-emotional health.
* Providing information, when appropriate, to outside support services to help students
with economic, emotional, or physical issues.
* Assisting at-risk students or students with disabilities.
* Communicating with parents, teachers, and administrators to understand students'
strengths and challenges.
* Maintaining case files and reports to track students' progress and note areas for growth.
* Helping students and families suffering from abuse, violence, hunger, or homelessness
to access resources like shelters, food banks, and medical care.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications and Attributes:
* A bachelor's or master's degree in social work
* A license and certification to practice social work
* Minimum three (3) years experience in a school setting preferred, inclusive of work with
gifted students
* Excellent verbal, written, and observational skills
* Compassion and empathy for students
* Professionalism and discretion
* Good relationships with relevant social services
* Outstanding ability to collaborate with colleagues
* Enthusiasm for professional development
* Ability to maintain confidentiality Patience, strong listening skills, and the ability to multitask8? Strong organizational and time management skills
* Flexibility in addressing the children’s as well as the school’s needs
* Experience with G-Suite (Google Apps) for Education preferred
* Working knowledge and experience with various computer systems
* A valid First Aid Certificate from the American Red Cross, including CPR training, or the
ability to obtain certification provided by the Academy

Salary/Benefits

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
