Duties

Brownstown CUSD 201 is seeking a creative, student-centered K-12 Art Teacher to lead our visual arts program across all grade levels. The ideal candidate will be passionate about art education, enthusiastic about working with students in grades K–12, and committed to fostering artistic expression, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving.

This is a unique opportunity to deliver a vertically aligned art curriculum that enriches the educational experience of our students from elementary through high school.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate Art endorsement.

  • Experience teaching art at multiple grade levels preferred.

  • Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.

  • Commitment to supporting a diverse and inclusive school community.
