Duties

Position Summary:

The Interim Director of Finance & Operations/CSBO serves as the chief financial and operational officer for the organization, reporting directly to the Superintendent. This leadership role oversees all business functions, including budget development and management, grants, transportation, purchasing, payroll, facilities, insurance, contracts, and compliance with state and federal reporting requirements. 


 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage all financial operations: budgeting, purchasing, payroll, billing, and reporting.
  • Oversee transportation services, insurance programs, and food service contracts.
  • Supervise business office staff and building/grounds operations.
  • Administer state and federal compliance reporting, Medicaid programs, and grant writing.
  • Support collective bargaining efforts and retirement contract administration.
  • Collaborate with program and district administrators on space, staffing, and funding needs.
  • Serve as liaison to the Finance Committee and as FOIA Officer and Complaint Manager.

Qualifications

Key Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Education, Business Management, or Accounting.
  • Supervisory experience in business, finance, or education.
  • Expertise in grants, budget planning, and financial oversight.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred:

  • Type 75 certification or equivalent to function as a School Business Official.
  • Experience in Special Education policies and procedures.

 

Salary/Benefits

Salary as Negotiated by the Board of Directors with Board paid TRS; 20 vacation days, 13 sick days, 3 personal days and 3 bereavement days; Board makes a significant contribution to Medical Insurance
