6th & 7th Grade | 2026–2027 School Year
Indian Creek Middle School is seeking a qualified, student-centered full-time Science Teacher for 6th and 7th Grade for the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will deliver a rigorous, standards-aligned science curriculum while supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of middle school students.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong instructional practices aligned to state standards, utilizes essential questions to drive learning, and is committed to standards-based instruction and grading. Candidates should be collaborative team members who value data-driven decision-making, positive classroom culture, and continuous professional growth.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to build positive relationships with students and families, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment are essential.
Qualifications:
Valid and appropriate Illinois teaching license with applicable endorsements
Knowledge of middle school science standards and best instructional practices
Commitment to collaborative PLC work and ongoing professional learning
