Duties
Peotone School District has an opening for a 6th -12th Grade Instructional Coach (ELA and SS) for the 2024-2025 school year.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Current PEL in English and/or Social Studies
• Master’s Degree preferred, but not required
• Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience in middle or high school
ELA/Social Studies
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective instructional practices, curriculum
development, and assessment in ELA and Social Studies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build trust and rapport with diverse learners and stakeholders
• Passion for student learning, teacher development, and fostering a love of reading,
writing, critical thinking, and historical exploration

Annual salary is regionally competitive with consideration of previous, relevant teaching experience. Peotone CUSD 207U Board of Education pays the full employee share of pension contributions, 100% of the health insurance costs for the employee, and provides a $50,000 life insurance policy.
