Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, empathetic, and organized Guidance Counselor to join our Junior High team. The ideal candidate will serve as a primary advocate for our students, providing a comprehensive counseling program that addresses academic, career, and personal/social development.
Key Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:

Individual & Group Counseling: Provide short-term counseling for students regarding social-emotional needs, conflict resolution, and crisis intervention.

Academic Advising: Assist in student scheduling, transition planning, and monitoring academic progress.

504 Plan Coordination: Serve as the Building 504 Coordinator. This includes identifying eligible students, organizing and facilitating initial and annual review meetings, drafting formal plans, and ensuring all staff are informed of and implementing required accommodations.

Classroom Integration: Deliver developmental guidance lessons on topics such as bullying prevention, executive functioning, and career exploration.

Parent/Teacher Liaison: Facilitate communication between home and school to support student success and well-being.
