Duties
Implement effective instructional strategies, classroom management, learning assessment and diagnosis, and research related to teaching and learning music. Responsible for teaching band and choir to 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students; communicating with students and parents regarding the music program and student progress; creating an environment of respect and rapport; and establishing a culture for learning in which safety and order is the norm.
Qualifications
Hold a valid Illinois Teacher Certificate and music endorsements or ability to obtain required certification
Salary/Benefits
Per the district's negotiated teacher contract.
