Duties
RTHS will have a bilingual school counselor opening for the 2024-2025 school Year. Some responsibilities include working with students on their post-secondary plans, student scheduling, scholarships, college applications, state testing, and all other duties assigned by the building principal. The counselor will support students with their post-high school career and social-emotional learning needs. RTHS is a high school of approximately 850 students with four guidance counselors.
Qualifications
Illinois Professional Educator Licensure and master's degree in School Counselor. Someone who is Bilingual in Spanish is highly sought after.
Salary/Benefits
Competitive Salary (base salary for 24-25 Masters $48,289 $88,189), full paid TRS, full single health insurance and dental, and $20,000 Term Life Insurance. Counselors also work approximately additional 15 days in the summer for additional pay. There will also be additional stipends available for extracurriculars.
