Duties

• Assist with classroom learning activities
• Supervise children inside and outside
• Collaborate with the classroom teacher to maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with the classroom teacher in planning for assessment and evaluation of learning
• Assist with the preparation of materials for use in the program
• Assist with maintaining an orderly learning environment
• Collaborate with the classroom teacher in the identification of and attention to children's health and hygiene
• Collaborate with the classroom teacher in providing individual and small-group instruction in learning activities
• Collaborate with the classroom teacher in communicating with families
• Maintain strict confidentiality of student records and data
• Participate in Professional Learning activities
• Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of this position

Qualifications

Valid Illinois Paraprofessional License issued by ISBE. Experience in education is preferred but not required. Must have a commitment to meeting children's needs and a valid Driver's License. 

Salary/Benefits

Salary starts at $18 per hour plus benefits.

Additional Notes

This position is for 180 school calendar days which includes 11 paid holidays, 12 sick days and 2 personal days. Typical work hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
