Duties
- Instructional Support and Organization
- Is able to reinforce educator planned instruction.
- Is able to carry over student instructional and behavioral goals and
objectives throughout the daily program.
- Monitors student performance.
- Effectively works with groups.
- Actively participates in classroom activities.
- Organizes equipment and materials as directed by the educator.
- Assumes responsibility for classroom/program cleanliness.
- Follows educator directions in creating bulletin boards, student
worksheets, etc.
- Promotes student independence.
- Communication
- Exhibits effective communication skills.
- Is systematic in record keeping as assigned by the educator.
- Maintains an open rapport with students.
- Maintains confidentiality.
III. Management of Student Conduct
- Adequately assists educator in supervision and student safety.
- Exhibits respect and concern for students.
- Accepts and effectively works with each student in accordance with
his/her personal needs.
- Follows behavior management programs including use of positive
reinforcement techniques.
- Professional Responsibilities
- Makes efficient use of time.
- Takes appropriate initiative.
- Completes tasks on time.
- Demonstrates flexibility.
- Accepts criticism and suggestions.
- Exhibits willingness to cooperate.
- Has good attendance and is punctual.
