Duties
The successful candidate will provide resource instruction for a caseload of approximately 11-14 special education students, primarily in a general education setting. The special education teacher will provide co-taught instruction in math and Lit/L.A. and support students in their other general education classes. There is also a 40-minute period of time each day to provide additional support to students during their "Primetime" (homeroom). Shepherd Middle School has a cutting edge STEM lab, and a 1:1 iPad initiative that greatly enhances the experience of all students at Shepherd Middle School.
Qualifications
Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement required.
Salary/Benefits
The current CBA allows OES to accept up to seven years of experience from other school districts. Competitive salary + full board-paid TRS contribution, BCBS health insurance ( including dental & vision), and other benefits per the collective bargaining agreement.
