Duties
This position is for the 2026-2027 school year The duties are those typical of a High School Special Education Teacher. To see the course offerings at RTHS visit RTHS Curriculum Guide. Candidate must be able to handle both teaching and case managing duties. A willingness to participate in extra-curricular coaching and/or leadership positions is strongly encouraged. There are a variety of extra positions available. An individual with any of these endorsements is encouraged to apply.
Qualifications
Must have a valid Type 09 or Type 10 certificate with an LBSI endorsement and meet highly qualified status. The candidate must be able to handle both teaching and case managing duties. An individual with multiple endorsements is highly coveted.
Salary/Benefits
Competitive Salary (base salary for 25-26 at BA $42,830, MA $49,255, $68,533 10 years), full paid TRS, full single health insurance and dental, and $20,000 Term Life Insurance.

This position is critical to RTHS student growth and College and Career Readiness. RTHS operates as a Professional Learning Community with weekly teacher collaboration time and offers an active mentor program. Co-curricular participation is encouraged.
