Duties
The duties of this position, to be established by the building principals, will focus on assisting the Special Education teacher in the resource classroom, working with individual students, working with small groups of students, pushing into classrooms to support students with an IEP, and other duties deemed necessary by the principal and classroom teacher. The successful candidate must communicate effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and administration.
Qualifications
One of the following is required:
- Associate’s degree or higher
- 60 semester hours of coursework
- High School Diploma or GED and a score of 460 or higher on the ETS Parapro
- High School Diploma or GED and the following scores on the ACT WorkKeys?:
- Applied Mathematics/Applied Math (with a score of 4)
- Reading for information/Workplace Documents (with a score of 4)
The candidate must pass a background check and be approved by the Board of Education.
Salary/Benefits
Compensation will be determined per the Mount Olive Support Personnel Association Contract for the 2025-2026 school year.
- $19.71 an hour per the Mount Olive Education Support Personnel Association Contract (2024-2027).
