LBS1 Teacher – Illinois

Position Overview:
We are seeking passionate, flexible, and creative LBS1 certified teachers to join our team across various locations in Illinois. These part-time and full-time positions involve working directly with students in behavioral health settings, delivering instruction in a small classroom environment. As a LearnWell educator, you will play a critical role in helping students stay engaged in learning while receiving the care they need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction to K-12 students across core subject areas.
  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans tailored to students' educational needs.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Communicate regularly with hospital staff, school personnel, and families as needed.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and instructional reports.
  • Provide a structured, supportive learning environment that aligns with treatment goals.

Position Details:

  • Part-time or Full-time
  • Class sizes typically range from 8 to 15 students.
  • Work is conducted on-site at partner behavioral health facilities.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Active Illinois LBS1 teaching license
  • Experience or comfort teaching core academic subjects across K-12 grade levels
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet a wide range of student needs
  • Reliable transportation
