Duties
Northwest Special Education Cooperative is seeking two full-time special education teachers for a day treatment program for students with social/emotional concerns in Elizabeth, IL. This is a position for the 2024-2025 school year.
The successful candidates will provide instruction in a small classroom setting, supervise paraprofessionals, create lesson plans, utilize various strategies to de-escalate behaviors, create/compose IEPs and related paperwork, and work with a supportive team to implement IEPs and BIPs. Strong communication and organizational skills a must.

Qualifications
The qualified candidate will have an Illinois professional education license (PEL) with an endorsement in special education, able to teach across K-12. Also must be able to lift 50 pounds.
