Duties
POSITION GOAL: Administer medically prescribed physical therapy treatments under supervision of a Registered Professional Physical Therapist.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consult with the Registered Professional Physical Therapist (RPPT) on a daily or weekly basis regarding scheduling, goals, techniques, physicians’ prescriptions, program changes, progress and problems concerning assigned students.
- Maintain records of student’s treatments including long and short term goals.
- Interpret physician’s prescriptions and administer physical therapy treatments.
- Maintain physical therapy equipment in working condition and advice of any maintenance needs.
- Understand and implement the department’s policies and procedures.
- Perform such other duties and assume such other responsibilities as may be assigned by the Registered Professional Physical Therapist.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS-
*MUST HAVE ILLINOIS CERTIFIED PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT CERTIFICATION
*MUST PASS A PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL, TB TEST, AND DRUG/ALCOHOL SCREENING
SALARY-
*BASED ON EXPERIENCE, PER THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT
