Duties
Aviston Elementary School District #21 is seeking motivated applicants who demonstrate strong teaching skills, exceptional organization, appropriate classroom management, and a team mentality.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain engaging daily lesson plans based on district curriculum, and core/state standards.
- Assess and monitor student progress and intervene appropriately using research-based interventions.
- Maintain accurate and regular grade records and report student progress to parents and administration as required.
- Provide quality instruction that includes differentiated learning experiences for the range of skill level and developmental needs of the students.
- Coordinate with other teachers and administration to provide educational opportunities and communications that benefit student learning.
- Utilize relevant technology to support and enhance instruction.
- Maintain consistent contact with parents/caregivers regarding classroom activities, student progress and needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Successful applicants must possess a valid Illinois Professional Educators License with an endorsement in 6-8 Language Arts
