Duties
Brimfield School District 309 is looking for a Special Education Teacher to work with students in grades K–4. We are seeking a team player who is passionate about helping children with diverse learning needs succeed in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Planning
- Personalized Lessons: Create and teach lessons designed to meet each student’s unique learning style.
- Goal Tracking: Collect data and monitor student progress to make sure learning goals are being met.
- Classroom Support: Provide specialized instruction that helps students grow academically and socially.
Case Management
- IEP Leadership: Manage and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to stay in compliance with state rules.
- Organization: Maintain accurate student records and stay up to date with ISBE standards.
- Coordination: Act as the main point of contact for student files and required documentation.
Collaboration
- Teamwork: Work side-by-side with general education teachers to help students succeed in all classroom settings.
- Communication: Keep families informed about their child’s progress and work together as a team.
Salary/Benefits
Pay and benefits are set by the current Collective Bargaining Agreement based on experience and college level. This information is on our school's website.
