Duties

We are looking for highly dedicated professionals who preferably have experience in urban education settings and who undoubtedly have a "whatever it takes" attitude to help children succeed.   We are in need of a speech pathologist to provide services in order to meet IEP minutes.   We are currently looking for someone who is available for two full days (8:00-4:00) a week (exact days are flexible).  Our school serves scholars in grades K-8. Responsibilities: Conduct speech-language evaluations. This includes screening of students referred for an individual evaluation, consultation regarding the referral, and the administration and interpretation of both standardized and criterion based measures. ?Provide direct service intervention and treatment. This includes development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for eligible students, planning intervention based on each student's IEP and providing therapy using a variety of service delivery models. Consult and collaborate with parents and other professionals. This includes participation in multidisciplinary team meetings, annual review meetings, case study conferences, parent conferences, IEP meetings, and consultation/collaboration with teachers and others providing services specific students. Complete special education forms/reports. These include IEPs, notices of conference, evaluation reports, detailed progress notes, Medicaid claims, other reports, etc. as required by the department, district, or governmental agencies.

Qualifications
