7th Grade Cross Categorical Spec Ed Teacher

Duties

Description:  Full-time Special Education teacher for Highland Middle School Cross-Categorical Special Education Program.

Job Summary:  Applicants must be willing to: 

  • Provide instruction/resource support for students with IEPs.
  • Manage a caseload and write IEPs for students according to district guidelines.
  • Conduct IEP meetings for annual reviews and IEP reviews.
  • Complete quarterly progress reports on IEP goals.
  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers.
  • Use online IEP program software.
  • Collect, organize, and use data to drive decision-making for academics and behavior.
  • Individualize lessons, plan lessons, and deliver instruction to students with a variety of needs.
  • Contribute to and support school improvement initiatives.
  • Cooperate with teachers and related service personnel to support a collaborative school culture.
  • Manage, supervise, and work collaboratively with paraprofessionals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must meet requirements for reimbursement as an LBS I Endorsed Teacher.

Salary/Benefits

Salary: Based on HEA contract.
