Duties
The Vermilion Association for Special Education is looking for a part or full-time school social worker for the 2024-25 school year. The social worker will provide individual and group counseling, classroom social skills instruction, crisis intervention and prevention, social developmental studies, etc.
The Vermilion Association for Special Education employs 14 school social workers/counselors, so collaboration between social workers is consistent and convenient. VASE provides numerous professional development opportunities at no cost to the employee. The Vermilion Association for Special Education provides services for students in our 10 member school districts: Armstrong Ellis, Armstrong Township High School, Bismarck-Henning, Rossville-Alvin, Potomac, Hoopeston, Georgetown-Ridge Farm, Westville, Oakwood, and Salt Fork.
Full-time position at Oakwood High School, and no travel is required!
Qualifications
IL PEL School Service Personnel - School Social Worker is preferred. Applicants without a PEL will be considered if they carry an LCSW or LSW.
Salary/Benefits
Commensurate with education and experience. Board paid TRS and single health insurance premium. Pay begins at MS+45 level on the salary scale. A $2000 yearly stipend is offered for National Certification.
$3,000 sign-on bonus!
