Duties
• Responsibilities • Responsible for implementing continuous improvement plans for student learning • Responsible for the identification and assessment of learner outcomes • Collaboratively with the Principal, coordinates and monitors the school improvement process • Responsible for curriculum development, resource selections, staff development and implementation of program evaluations • Serve as a resource to principals • Maintain an awareness of trends, issues and research in curriculum, assessment, and instruction, and make recommendations for adjustments in the district’s Title I program • Develop and monitor budget allocations for the Title I grant and PBIS fund • Maintain effective coordination and articulation between district schools • Support instructional programs • Apply for and write grant applications • Provide leadership in planning and conducting curriculum studies, including special programs for new courses, funding, staffing requirements and curriculum impact usage • Participate in the strategic planning process and direct efforts as assigned • Recommend to the Superintendent the necessary personnel to be employed in the Title I program • Attend all Board of Education meetings or special committee meetings as requested • Supervise and evaluate Title I staff as assigned • Complete other assignments and/or special projects, as requested by the Superintendent • Identify students who will receive intervention services through assessments and file review, who will receive Title I/RtI services. • Design and implement remediation for at risk students, as well as evaluating the remediation for student growth. • Create and maintain PBIS program and budget for all students K-12. • Complete federal and state reports as required for Title I grant
Qualifications
Experience and Education • Shall hold a valid Illinois Educator License • Deep knowledge of, and demonstrated ability in, all facets of curriculum, assessment and instruction; and works collaboratively to support integration of student services based on student needs. • Knowledge of federal and state funding, grant programs, regulations and laws • Experience supervising staff members • Successful experience in developing and implementing curriculum for at risk students Qualifications – Skill Set • Excellent leadership skills • Ability to research, collaborate, organize, develop and lead long-range planning • Demonstrated ability to co-plan, lead, and assess professional development and school improvement efforts. • Ability to communicate with all segments of the school and community
