Duties

Qualifications/Job Description: Under general supervision of the Director of Special Education and the Executive Director and according to specific procedures, safely transport students to and from daily community outings. •CDL class A or B license with School Bus Endorsement and a current valid School Bus Permit is required. •Previous experience in transporting children with special needs is preferred. •General good judgment and extreme caution while operating a school bus and ability to remain calm in an emergency situation. •Possess a comprehensive knowledge of rules, regulations and procedures relative to the safe operation of a school bus. •Possess knowledge of pertinent federal, state and local traffic laws. •Responsible for am and pm student busing drop off and pick up monitoring. Support/work in the school when not driving. •Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the bus.

Qualifications

Current and valid Illinois CDL Class A or B License with School Bus Endorsement and School Bus Permit required.
