Communications Coordinator Share: Print: Duties Develop and execute creative marketing campaigns to promote organizational efforts, services, events, and people. Oversee organizational branding, promotional materials, and merchandise, including management of the North Cook online merchandise store. Develop and maintain the website (Finalsite) and other applicable web-based platforms. Manage and utilize social media platforms to communicate organizational accomplishments, celebrations, goals, objectives, programs, services, and strategic priorities of NCISC and NCYAA. Develop and produce human-interest stories that highlight the services, growth, accomplishments, and celebrations of NCISC and its districts. Create and produce podcasts and other multimedia communications to effectively disseminate organizational information and highlight programs, services, and initiatives. Photograph events, programs, services, staff, students, and community members to capture and promote moments of joy, progress, achievement, and positivity. Create, edit, and distribute videos and other multimedia content to promote NCISC and NCYAA programs, services, events, and initiatives. Develop and distribute promotional materials, announcements, and communications for professional learning opportunities to increase awareness and participation. Establish and maintain partnerships with area businesses, nonprofit organizations, and other community entities to support student internships, service projects, career experiences, and learning opportunities. Design and produce digital and print materials using graphic design and image-editing software, including Canva, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe InDesign. Create and edit PDF documents and develop fillable forms using Adobe Acrobat Pro. Develop and manage online surveys, forms, and data-collection tools for organizational use and website integration. Utilize Google Workspace applications, including Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Slides, and Sheets, as well as other technology applications to support daily operations and organizational communication. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree is required and Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) is preferred. Minimum 3 years work experience in communications/marketing/public relations/journalism is required Previous school district communications/public relations experience preferred Strong written and verbal communications skills Ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups Experience designing materials for print, web, and social media Experience building and maintaining websites as well as experience in photography and videography strongly preferred Experience developing partnership Work collaboratively and independently in a variety of settings and communicate effectively across a broad spectrum of stakeholders Technology Skills/Software: Google Suite (Docs/word processing, Sheets/spreadsheets, Slides/presentations, Forms, Calendar; Blackboard/Finalsite; Canva; Adobe Photoshop; Smore Salary/Benefits IMRF position Salary range $65,000-$80,000 Benefits - Includes BCBSIL HMO or PPO and Metlife dental paid at 100% by North Cook for employee coverage.
