Announcement of Superintendent Vacancy
The School District 96 Board of Education, Riverside/Brookfield, Illinois, announces the commencement of a search for a new Superintendent of Schools who will assume responsibilities on July 1, 2027. This is an outstanding professional opportunity for a qualified and experienced educational leader who has served in a similar environment and capacity, to lead and work with an enthusiastic, supportive, high expectation community, staff and Board of Education.
The Riverside School District 96 is centered in very desirable West Suburban Cook County, approximately 12 miles west of downtown Chicago. District 96 includes four elementary and one middle school. The K-8 student population of 1,750 is characterized by high academic achievement and varied curricular offerings. District 96 also offers numerous programs to support the academic and social emotional needs of all the students in the district. Parents are highly involved and are supportive. The community takes great pride in its schools as demonstrated by the mission of the district: “Empowering learners through meaningful educational opportunities that reflect the knowledge, skills and experiences needed for future success as engaged citizens”.

Salary/Benefits
A regionally competitive compensation package will be offered to the successful candidate with a potential salary range of $210,000 to $270,000.
