Duties

• Design and lead engaging language arts and writing lessons aligned with Illinois Learning Standards.
• Use student data and MTSS practices to differentiate instruction, support students working below grade level, and challenge advanced learners.
• Incorporate Illinois Social-Emotional Learning standards to build a supportive, respectful classroom environment.
• Set up clear methods for monitoring student progress and use that information to adjust daily instruction.
• Maintain open, consistent communication with parents and guardians throughout the school year.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and administration during professional development and team meetings.
• Use modern classroom technology effectively for instruction, student research, and communication.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License with the proper endorsements for middle level language arts as required by the Illinois State Board of Education. Applicants interested in coaching athletics or sponsoring extracurricular clubs are strongly encouraged to apply.
