Duties
To oversee students in the classroom under the supervision of the certified teacher.
To substitute teach for staff members when needed.
To perform all other duties assigned by the administration.
Qualifications
Must hold a Paraprofessional License or obtain a Paraprofessional License (requirements include: passing the Parapro Test -OR- completion of 60 hours of college coursework needed to apply for licensure). Must hold a Substitute Teaching Certificate or obtain a Substitute Teaching Certificate. Excellent Communication Skills, experience working with diverse populations. An understanding and a commitment to the philosophy that all students can be successful. Ability to build positive rapport with students, staff, parents and community members.
Salary/Benefits
$16.00 per hour. IMRF benefits.
